BOOMER!!!! and SOONER!!! The Sooners were down and out after our loss to Texas. I'm sorry, our beating from Texas. Then, Texas goes to OSU, and wins..but just barely. Crap. And then...things changed. Texas Tech beat Texas. Where did they come from?? And the Cinderella story about the kid out of the stands who won the kicking contest is now one of the prime players on the team??? What?!?!?!! So then Texas Tech goes to play OSU, this should be a good game since OSU is playing well. But what happens?? Texas Tech CREAMS OSU!! Crappity crap crap. Last night, the most highly anticipated game of the season. All day long, even on other networks, they were talking about the game to take place at 7pm. Jitters, nervousness, fluttering in my stomach...and what happens? OU shows up, plays one of their best games ever, and we stomp Texas Tech. What??? You were ready for the National Championship Red Raiders??? Well, you still may get there, but we have definitely put a kink in the system. I know that Jesse is sitting at home confident that her Mizzou Tigers are already comfortably sitting in the Big XII Champtionship, and just twiddling her thumbs waiting to see who they will play. It is now a three way tie, between us, Texas Tech, and Texas. One more week to go. We still have a big game in OSU next week, just for rivalry purposes, and now we have to not only win, but win BIG to even be considered.Whew, at least it was a good game, and I found myself watching it to the very end, even though we were up by 40 points. I've seen OU lose leads that large before, and I've seen my beloved Sooners get nervous, or comfortable in their lead, and thus what follows is a series of turnovers, dropped passes, and overall poor playing.
But last night that was not the case. Beautiful passes, confident players, and a wonderful win last night!! BOOMER!!!

Grandma said it would be a perfect picture if the trash can wasn't in the way...but I still like it :)

Me and my Michael - did I mention that he was ALSO wearing Black and Gold??? Where's the love???
Here are the two teams shaking hands after a nearly 5 hour game!! And oh, yeah..SOONERS WIN!! Bruahahahahahahahahahaha
We made it!!! Jesse, I must say, that the exhibit in St. Louis by FAR puts this one to shame, but it was still fun...
This rock has the different types of penguins engraved on it life-size, so you can get a real feel of how big the Kings are compared to the little Rockhoppers...
See, so ugly she's cute. She, like a lot of other dogs, doesn't like being in the cage, so she was just fine on Michael's lap...
She's a sucker for a belly rub...check out the super cute toys I found!!! Could NOT have been more perfect...
She's had quite a good time playing with the toys, on the plush one the squeaker now doesn't work (Toy Story 2...), but she still has a great time with them both..
Don't be hatin' on my beautiful GREEN carpet (soon to be changed..hehe) After a long day of playing...this is not an uncommon site...
As a matter of fact, as I type this, I'm sitting on the couch, and Michael and Cocoa are asleep in the very same recliner ;P When she first came home, she followed Michael EVERYWHERE. And heaven forbid if I sat next to him, or (gasp) gave him a kiss!! She went crazy. If she couldn't see him, she would go insane. The first time he mowed the yard he kept her inside so she wouldn't run after the mower. Thank goodness for those new windows so she could at least see outside while she was whining...following him from window to window all around the house until he was finished...big baby hehe
You can see her little feet as she is between the blinds and the window, and Michael with the mower outside....so cute I had to take a pic. She's warmed up to me a bit now, and even though she still favors Michael, she will still cuddle up with me every now and then. And as long as he is the one she wakes up in the middle of the night, I'm fine with that!
