Bar-S also has a wellness program called Fit to Win. Throughout the year, if you workout so many times a week, get your cholesterol checked, etc., you get "points", PLUS, it promotes health. It's better for you, and healthy people get hurt less, cost the company less on insurance, etc. I could go into more details, but I don't want to bore you. This type of stuff excites me because I'm a nerdy HR person, HOWEVER, yo

Extra Housewarming pics...

Just because I didn't want to take up so much space on the blog...here are some extra pics from that day...
This is Harley, Christina's youngest kiddo...sitting on April's lap...how cute is that??
Housewarming Party

Christina makes cakes in her spare time and is SUPER creative about it. So she made me an OU football cake and even had little Happy Feet penguins she cut out and they were lined up on the cake like they were playing football...
Gotta get me one of those...a grill and a husband HAHAHAHAHA
But seriously, on a side note, Steven and Christina have been INVALUABLE to me. She helped me find a place to live (she and April called for HOURS), without their trailers the move would not have been possible (since the whole totalling of dad's truck on moving day). AND on a sidenote - a couple of weeks ago, I was trying to rush out of my house to avoid the hail, and couldn't find my keys, so I grabbed my spare car key and rushed out. A couple of hours after I got to work I was like C-R-A-P. My keys to get into my house....are in my house. Blonde moment...I met Steven there after work and it took him exactly 12 minutes to break in and open the front door - wow, what protection I have, huh? Love him!!!

Darla made a WONDERFUL fruit bowl and some pasta salad....yummy.
April made some Little Smokies, Nachos, Beverages, and some other stuff. Needless to say, we had WAY more food than we needed, so no one went away hungry.

Since mom was taking pics of everyone else, and what they brought, we had to take one of mom and the shrimp she and dad picked up at Sams for the occasion :)
Ms. No Blog
As this is considered by many to be our biggest game of the year, we were still pretty pumped. It gives up bragging rights for the rest of the year, and will carry over into other sports as well.

Sorry I don't have super cool graphics about the Missouri game, but just an FYI - my boys are 7 and 1. :) So anyhoo, Michael wasn't too happy, but we had a good time, and it was good to get my Harmon fix. I was on the couch less than two minutes and I have all 3 little guys crawling on me. Only one almost busted nose (mine), so it was a good night :) I DID get lost coming home, my hour drive took 2.75 hours and half a tank of gas...but I realized where I made the wrong turn, so it should be better next time...I'm still learning these western OK roads...grrrrrr
Oh and to the title of this blog...Jesse told me that she was officially calling me.."Ms. No Blog" since I take so long to blog. Hmm...that's not very friendly, is it??? MizzOUrah???? hahaha
Baby's First Bath...
So the sun was starting to go down...but you get the impression...(insert oohs and aahhhhs here...)
So there are a few buggers left...but still pretty good considering what I started out with... if it is nice this weekend, he will get a second, better dosing of Goo Gone and washing, and then the wax to prepare him for winter :)

HOMEOWNER!!!!
The backyard....and there is another lot right next to it that is the same size...
The kitchen area - I freaking LOVE this look-through window/bar.
So anyhoo...my parents, who generally question every decision I make (and let's face it, I've given them good reason), were not hesitant at all and were like...go for it!! Soooo, my closing date is 10:30am on the 17th. YEAH!!! I will say that my excitement in getting a house is slightly marred by the fact that I'm depressed as hell that I am buying a house by myself and not with the "significant other", but you know what...I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and gosh darn it...people like me.
On the significant other note - there is someone in the works, Justin. I dated him briefly last year, and we reconnected when I asked him if he knew of anyone with rent houses in western Oklahoma (since he works out here)...so anyhoo, as was the whole purpose of this blog...to keep you updated on my beaus...we'll see what happens :)
OH - A couple of great things have happened recently - besides the fact that I still L-O-V-E my job...My nephew was baptized this past Sunday. Mom, dad, and I went to the Choctaw First Baptist Church to watch and it was super exciting. Kinda weird going home...saw a LOT of people from school...and Jesse and the boys and Josie come home on Thursday!!! I miss my Harmon's. I just may have to go see them this weekend when I go to OKC....may meaning MUST!!! Another thing I'm doing this weekend is taking Brandon's conceal and carry class. I will be certified to own/carry/and shoot you should you come near me...and since I've never even shot a gun excpet for one time at a turkey shoot...you would be wise to stay away!! I would say I promise to write more often, but seeing as how I've completely lied about it in the past...I'll just sign off and say...I'll do my best...TOODLES!!!

PUPPIES!!!!
Instead of trying to catch everything up...I'll try to do Lil Bit's (haha...I'm funny) more often. Quick note: Dad's doing great, mom and dad celebrated their 37 year anniversary yesterday, Happy Anniversary to Mike and Jesse and Kelli and James, and Happy Birthday to big boy Logan (all of that on the same day - June 19th!!!!)

Here I am!!!

So hello everyone!!! My name is Kelly, and my friend Jesse and her sister-in-law Belva have told me that I need a blog. So here I am!!! I'm going to be here to humor you, give you my deepest insights on life, and most of all, just keep those of you who are far far away (you know who you are), updates on my oh so thrilling life :)
A little recap...I turn 30 in exactly 2 months, and 6 days. I must say, this is NOT where I thought I would be at 30, but I'm trying to make the best of it, although, again...I must say...I have had a couple of depression bouts with it as well. So..again...I'm 29 (not quite there yet), single (working on it this year darn it!!!), and living in a quasi-ghetto apartment in Moore, Oklahoma. Trust me, I'm not trying to sound depressing, it just sounds fun to say I live in the quasi-ghetto. Anyhoo, I am a practice manager at a dental office in Norman. And let me tell you, coming from someone who's never even had a cavity...I've learned a LOT in the past year (my one year anniversary is next month). So...saying that, some of these blogs might be my rants from work...take them for what they are, sometimes I just need to vent.
I've learned in the past couple of years that one has to be positive, and I've made a conscious effort to be a more positive, uplifting, and non-stressful person. With the help of my Dale Carnegie course (which I recommend everyone take), and some other things that I have tried, I would like to think I am succeeding on these endeavors.
Well, since I'm not quite sure what to write without completely sounding boring...I'll sign off for tonight. The bad weather is coming in and the threat of another dooming ice storm looms for the weekend. Isn't it great how I'll be locked up in my apartment ALL weekend until the ice finally thaws on Monday morning for me to go to work again? Oh well...make the best of it!!! Lots to do around the house. I went grocery shopping (thanks mom), and got some movies at Blockbuster today, and returned my online movies (again, something EVERYONE should do..Blockbuster Online), so once the ice finally hits on Friday I'll have 3 more waiting in my mailbox and won't have to drive anywhere. I plan on catching up on my "Read the Bible Through in a Year", (as we speak, I'm still on January 1...eek!), and to finish my book, Wicked, which I started like 2 months ago, and to complete chapter 15 of my Medical Transcription. So see, I couldn't go anywhere if I wanted to...I'm going to be soooo super busy! I'll report back on Monday to see how much of this actually gets done! Oh! And I need to continue my workouts. I've had exactly 2...count them TWO!!! for this year, and my goal to slim down will NOT be pushed aside. I was sick for the first few days of the year, so I'm using that as an excuse. ANYHOO...so much for not knowing what to write and sounding boring, right? OK, so seriously...signing off...until next time!! HUGS!! :p
